People
It takes a village to care for a loved one.
The Fieldworker platform lets your agency organize all relevant members of the care group for each of your customers. This lets you have a full 360-degree view of the support team, and is a key contributor to success in person-centric planning. The staff from your agency working with the customer and all other people in the care group are organized and are seen separately.
The People tab on the Clients screen serves as the directory for the "Circle of Care" surrounding a specific customer. It is divided into two primary sections: Team Contacts (internal agency staff) and Customer Contacts (family, friends, and external stakeholders).
1. Team Contacts (Internal Staff)
This section manages the internal employees assigned to the clientβs care team.
Select Employee Dropdown: Use this to search for and select an existing agency employee.
[ADD EMPLOYEE] Button: Once an employee is selected from the dropdown, clicking this button officially links them to the clientβs team.
Staff Cards: Each assigned team member is displayed as a card containing:
Profile Image & Name: (e.g., Rami Bazoqa, Siddharth Pansuria).
Role/Designation: Displays their position, such as Admin or Support Coordinator.
Quick Actions: * Edit (Pencil): Modify the staff's specific involvement details.
Delete (Trash): Remove the staff member from this clientβs care team.
[SORT BY] Control: Allows you to organize the staff cards (e.g., by Name or Role).
Export (Download Icon): Located next to the Add Employee button, this allows you to download the team contact list.

2. Customer Contacts (External Stakeholders)
This section tracks the family members, guardians, and friends who are involved in the client's life and care.
Select Contact Dropdown: Choose a person from your global Contacts database.
Relationship Dropdown: Define the person's connection to the client (e.g., Brother, Friend, Guardian).
[ADD CONTACT] Button: Finalizes the link between the selected contact and the current client.
Contact List Table
Column
Description
NAME
The full name of the contact (e.g., Max Wonder).
RELATIONSHIP
The designated role (e.g., Brother, Friend).
PHONE NUMBER
Primary contact number for quick access.
ADDRESS
The contact's physical location (e.g., Des Moines, IA).
Actions
Use the Trash Icon to remove the relationship link.
3. Usage & AbilityHub Perspective
FieldWorker Sync: Staff members listed in "Team Contacts" are typically the only ones who can see this clientβs data in their mobile app and log Timesheets against their projects.
AbilityHub (Family App): The individuals listed in the Customer Contacts table are the ones granted access to the AbilityHub app. This allows them to view the "Team Contacts" (the professional care team) and communicate with them directly.
Emergency Readiness: Having a populated "People" tab ensures that field staff have immediate access to emergency contact numbers while on-site via their mobile devices.
Assigning an employee to a customer
The Project - Employee Assignment Edit Form is a specialized modal used to define the professional relationship between a specific staff member and a clientβs project. This form ensures that billing, scheduling, and service frequency are accurately captured for both payroll and Medicaid compliance.
Overview
When you select an employee (e.g., Adam Harris) to add or edit on the People tab, this modal captures the following logistical and financial data:

Field
Necessity
Description & Importance
Employee Status
Mandatory (*)
A dropdown to set the staff member as Active or Inactive for this specific assignment.
Bill Rate
Mandatory (*)
The numerical amount (e.g., Amount) to be charged per unit of service. This is the foundation for generating Billing claims.
Currency
Read-Only

Frequency

Defines how often the employee is expected to provide this service (e.g., Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
Associate From
Mandatory (*)
The start date for this specific staff assignment (e.g., 03/21/2026).
Associate To
Mandatory (*)
The end date for the assignment. This should typically align with the Project's overall authorization period.
Controls & Actions
[SAVE CHANGES] Button: Validates all mandatory fields and commits the assignment to the client's People directory.
Dismiss (X): Located at the top right, this closes the modal without saving, which is useful if you are simply reviewing the current rates or dates.
Usage in FieldWorker & AbilityHub
FieldWorker (Internal Operations)
Billing Accuracy: The Bill Rate and Frequency set here are used by the Billing module to automatically calculate invoice totals based on the Timesheets submitted by the employee.
Scheduling: Only employees with an Active status and valid Associate From/To dates will appear as available options in the Scheduler for this client.
AbilityHub (Family Experience)
Care Team Transparency: Once this form is saved, the employee is officially part of the client's "Care Team." If enabled, the family can see this staff member's profile in their app, providing peace of mind about who is authorized to provide care.
