Keeping your circle of care informed

What is a β€œPost”?

A Post in AbilityHUB is a simple way to share updates, information, or messages with your care team and approved family members. Think of it like a shared update feed where everyone involved in your care can stay informed.

✏️ When Should You Use a Post?

You can create a post to:

  • Share updates about your day or well-being

  • Ask non-urgent questions

  • Provide important information to your care team

  • Upload photos or documents (if enabled)

  • Keep everyone informed in one place

πŸ‘‰ Example:

β€œJohn completed his therapy session today and is feeling great.”

πŸ“ How to Create a Post

Composer screen for writing a new post. Includes Gallery and Camera buttons to attach media, and a free-text area. The post is published to the shared feed of the user's circle of care.

πŸ‘€ Who Can See Your Post?

Posts are only visible to:

  • Your care team

  • Authorized caregivers

  • Approved family members

βœ” Your information stays private and secure βœ” Access is controlled by your care provider

πŸ”” What Happens After You Post?

When you create a post:

  1. Your care team is notified (if set up for this)

  2. The post appears in the shared activity feed

  3. Others can view (and sometimes respond, depending on settings)

Post Comments

The thread view shows the original post at the top, followed by comment bubbles with individual like counts. A sticky "Write a comment…" input with a send button sits at the bottom of the screen.

A bottom-sheet modal triggered from the overflow menu on any post. Reminds users to call 911 in emergencies. Collects a free-text reason before enabling the Report this post button. The report is anonymous to the post author.

πŸ’‘ Tips for Using Posts

  • Use posts for general updates, not emergencies

  • Keep messages clear and brief

  • Share updates that help your care team support you better

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Posts are part of your care record and may be reviewed by your care team

  • For urgent issues, contact your provider directly instead of posting

  • Some posts may be saved for documentation and compliance purposes

🧠 Simple Way to Think About It

  • Post = Share with everyone involved in care

  • Message (if available) = Talk to specific individuals
