Employees

Workforce assigned

The Employees tab on the Project pagearrow-up-right is the human resource management center for a specific engagement. It allows administrators to control exactly which team members are authorized to view project details, visit the client, and log time against the project’s budget.

Authorized Personnel List

The main body of the tab displays a grid of Employee Cards for those currently assigned to the project (e.g., Rami Bazoqaarrow-up-right, Tiffany Alexanderarrow-up-right, and Jessica Brooksarrow-up-right). Each card provides:

  • Profile Picture & Name: For quick visual identification.

  • Role Label: Displays the staff member's designation (e.g., Admin).

  • Management Icons: * Edit (πŸ–‰): Modify the employee's specific permissions or details within the project.

    • Remove (πŸ—‘): Unassign the employee from the project, revoking their access to associated tasks and client data.

Adding Staff to a Project

To expand the team working on a project, use the assignment tools located at the top of the tab:

  • Select Employee Dropdown: A searchable list of all active staff members within your organization.

  • ADD EMPLOYEEarrow-up-right Button: Once a name is selected from the dropdown, clicking this button formally links them to the project.

Cross-App Implications of Assignment

Assigning an employee to a project triggers several automated functions across the FieldWorker platformarrow-up-right:

  • Mobile App Visibility: Only assigned employees will see this project and its Tasksarrow-up-right on their mobile devices.

  • Schedulerarrow-up-right Integration: When creating new shifts or tasks, the scheduler will prioritize or restrict selection to the employees listed in this tab.

  • Locatearrow-up-right Monitoring: Managers can specifically track the GPS check-ins and "Last Known Activity" of these assigned individuals in relation to the project's authorized locations.

  • Timesheetarrow-up-right Tagging: Any hours logged by these employees are automatically bucketed under this project for accurate Billingarrow-up-right.

Use Cases

Initiating the Assignment of an employee

This process bridges the high-level project assignment with the specific financial and administrative configuration required for compliance and billing. To begin, navigate to the Employees tab on the Project pagearrow-up-right. This area acts as the gatekeeper for project access.

  • Select Employee: Use the searchable dropdown menu to find the staff member (e.g., Aaron Young).

  • Trigger Modal: Click the ADD EMPLOYEEarrow-up-right button. This will launch the Project - Employee Assignment Form.

The Assignment Form

Once the modal appears, you must define the specific "rules of engagement" for this staff member. These settings dictate how their time is tracked and billed.

System-Wide Implications

Clicking SAVE CHANGESarrow-up-right does more than just update a list; it activates the employee across the entire FieldWorker ecosystem for this specific project:

  • Mobile Access: The project and its Tasksarrow-up-right immediately sync to the employee’s mobile device.

  • EVV & Location: The employee is now authorized to check in at the project's Locatearrow-up-right pins.

  • Automated Timesheets: Every hour logged by this employee is automatically tagged with the Bill Rate and Project ID, creating "audit-ready" Timesheetsarrow-up-right.

  • Scheduling: This employee will now appear as a valid option when managers use the Schedulerarrow-up-right to assign project-specific shifts.

Ongoing Management

Once the form is saved, the employee appears as an Employee Card in the main list. From there, you can:

  • Edit (πŸ–‰): Re-open the Assignment Form to adjust rates or dates.

  • Remove (ο‡Έ): Unassign the employee to immediately revoke access to project data and task visibility.
