Demographics Dashboard
Population demographics
The Demographics dashboard is the primary landing page within the BI DASHBOARDS section. It provides a comprehensive visual breakdown of your agency's customer base, allowing administrators to understand the population they serve and identify growth or churn trends.
1. High-Level Summary Cards (KPIs)
Located at the top of the dashboard, these cards provide an immediate snapshot of organizational volume:
Total Customers (2,001): The cumulative number of all customer records in the system.
Use Case: High-level reporting for stakeholders to show the total reach of the agency since inception.
Active Customers (31): The number of customers currently receiving services.
Use Case: Vital for operational planning and calculating current staff-to-patient ratios.
New Customers this month (0): Tracking intake for the current calendar month.
Use Case: Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing or referral programs.
Customers leaving this month (1): Tracking discharges or churn.
Use Case: Identifying sudden spikes in departures, which may indicate service quality issues or seasonal shifts.

2. Distribution Analytics (Pie Charts)
These charts categorize your Total Customers (2,001) across several demographic and clinical dimensions:
Customer Age: Groups customers into ranges (e.g., <18, 18-24, 45-54).
Use Case: Identifying if the agency is trending toward a specific age demographic (e.g., geriatric vs. pediatric) to hire specialized staff.
Customer Gender: Visualizes the split between Male, Female, and Other.
Use Case: Assisting in staff matching (e.g., customers who prefer providers of a specific gender).
Customer Tier: Shows service levels (e.g., "Aa" vs "Other").
Use Case: Understanding the intensity of care required across the population for billing and budgeting.
Race, Ethnicity, and Diagnosis Code: Currently showing high "Unknown" percentages (approx. 94%).
Use Case: Data Integrity Audit. These charts highlight missing information in customer profiles that may be required for state compliance or Grant reporting.
3. Customer Population Trend
A line graph tracking the Customer Count over a rolling 12-month period (e.g., April 2025 to March 2026).
Component Detail: Shows a steady increase from 1,948 to 1,999 over the last year.
Use Case: Capacity Planning. If the trend line shows consistent growth, leadership can use this data to justify hiring new fieldworkers before the agency reaches maximum capacity.
4. Active Customer Tabular Data
A detailed spreadsheet view at the bottom of the page containing raw data for the Active subset of customers.
Key Fields: Customer ID, Name, Address, Phone, Acquisition Date, and Email.
Use Case: Actionable Outreach. An administrator can quickly grab the contact info or addresses for all active clients to send out emergency alerts, policy updates, or holiday cards without running a separate report.
